As Serbia, Serbs in Kosovo, and the international community move into a new era of politics, it may be more important than ever to stand in solidarity with Serbs who live in Kosovo.
The French organization Solidarité Kosovo has stood in solidarity with Serbs in Kosovo since 2004. The organization collects donations through an online interface and uses the money to provide Serbs in Kosovo with humanitarian aid, infrastructure development, and community-building projects.
The founders of the organization have said that it has always been their priority to help the youngest of the Serb population in Kosovo, acknowledging that pouring resources into the lives of the province’s children is a direct investment into Kosovo’s future.
Past projects include a field trip to the Igalo-Herceg Novi in Montenegro to give 40 students a first-hand education about the sea for the first time in their lives; renovating a schoolhouse—installing heating, repairing walls and windows, and more-- and providing families with basic everyday needs.
