The organization 28 jun came to my attention a few years ago through their thought-provoking facebook updates on Serbian politics and Serbian history. I am now convinced that this organization is critical to the future of humanitarian work in Serbia because it completes truly incredible humanitarian projects.
The organization’s most recent project focused on medical aid to Krajina. On Saturday, March 15, 28 jun held a 1,000-person fundraiser in Milwaukee, Wisconsin through which they raised $10,000 to ship a 40-foot, 11-ton container of medical supplies to Krajina.
According to the organization’s website, 28 jun is a non-profit founded to unite Serbian Diaspora; promote truthful media coverage of conditions in Serbia; provide humanitarian aid and awareness of humanitarian needs in Serbia; and to help strengthen the role of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
