Serbian Delegation Makes Great Impression at the National Prayer Breakfast

Serbia made quite an appearance at this year’s National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.

Each year, the National Prayer Breakfast (NPB) takes place in a Washington, D.C. hotel. Over 3,000 people from around the world gather to pray and socialize with lawmakers, politicians, and community leaders who share a desire for peace in politics and a love for Jesus.  The event features live music from popular performers—this year Andrea Bocelli—as well as keynote speeches from an influential business, science, art, or political leader and the President of the United States.

But for the Bridges to Serbia team, the highlight of this year’s Prayer Breakfast was seeing such a large delegation from Serbia. And because the delegation included such influential and well-known figures, such as Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Serbian Ambassador to the United States Vladimir Petrovic, the delegation made a lasting impression on Prayer Breakfast attendees. When the Serbian delegates entered the Hilton Washington on the first day of the NPB week, their friendliness and enthusiasm lit up the entire hotel mezzanine. During the official breakfast, in the presence of the President of the United States, members of the United States Congress, and world leaders, the master of ceremonies gave a special mention to Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, one of two prime ministers and one of three heads of state in the room.

The Bridges to Serbia team had a great time with the Serbian delegation at this year’s National Prayer Breakfast.
