The organization 28 jun came to my attention a few years ago through their thought-provoking facebook updates on Serbian politics and Serbian history. I am now convinced that this organization is critical to the future of humanitarian work in Serbia because it completes truly incredible humanitarian projects.

They say that Chicago is the second-largest city of Serbs in the world after Belgrade, and by the way the city mobilizes to support humanitarian efforts in Serbia, I believe it!
Last week, Bozur Humanitarian Society and Unitas Fund raised over $40,000 to fight poverty in Serb communities in Kosovo and Metohija with a reception and dinner at Chicago’s University Club. I had the honor and privilege of greeting His Grace Bishop Dr. Maxim of Western America and Father Blasko Paraklis from Mission Viejo, CA at the Honolulu airport. I was so inspired as we talked over lunch about all things Serbian - and of course how awesome the ahi poke bowl was and this beautiful Hawaii weather.
In regards to Serbia and Kosovo, it seems like the humanitarian opportunities are endless, where do you even begin? But after spending a couple of hours with these two men of God and hearing their perspective and ideas, I was encouraged. It's as if God was doing that special thing that only He can do -bringing people into your life at just the right time to inspire and encourage.
